Meet the Team: Alex

Let’s give it up for the winner of the Gold Cart Award for Lee’s Marketplace Foxboro... Alex! 

Alex, Foxboro Assistant Manager

Alex has worked for Lee’s for almost 7 years as a grocery clerk, assistant manager, dairy manager, frozen manager, and produce manager. Though he started in Lee’s Marketplace in North Ogden, he currently works in the Foxboro store as an assistant manager. He said that he loves this position for the wide variety of things he is able to do.  

This year, Alex received the “Gold Cart” award at Lee’s Night of Excellence, which signifies excellence in all core values (quality, clean, friendly, honesty, and team). His store director had the following to say about Alex: 

“Alex exemplifies all of our core values. He is very friendly with our guests and our team. He is willing to help out wherever he is needed. He puts in an honest day’s work each time he works. He does a great job of keeping the store and our stockroom clean and the quality of his work is unmatched. We can always tell when Alex has worked based on the conditions in the store. Not only is he a great worker, but he is fun to have around.” 

When reflecting upon this award, Alex shared that one core value that sticks out to him the most is that of quality. “I always want to do my best work and take pride in my work,” he shared, “When I do that, it is much better for the guests and other team members.”
